Great news for all the Indians and Expats living in Qatar. As a part of e-services initiatives, MoI has launched an online family visit visa application through MoI’s website and also through Metrash2.
This came within the framework to develop services to the public. Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Al Ateeq, Director General of the Department of Passport and Expatriates Affairs at MoI, said the new service has been added to the various e-services already provided by MoI by the use of modern technology in providing a high quality of services to residents and their families – Reported thepeninsulaqatar.com
He added that this service is easy and in case of some missing documents or any other issue, the applicant will get the required alert. Al Ateeq said that this e-service is for the purpose of providing family visit visa to expatriates in the country. He pointed out that the Department has evaluated this electronic service over two months and proved a great success by 100% – Reported thepeninsulaqatar.com
In 2017 June, The Ministry of Interior (MoI), Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism Authority, have launched an e-visa platform through which visitors to Qatar can directly apply for tourist visas

Dear Ahamad, Is your daughter visa is rejected or in pending. In whatever case, please visit any of the visa centers in Qatar and apply for visa directly. Necessary documents to apply :
First and foremost, you must have a valid residence permit to apply for a family visa. Take a copy of your Qatar Resident ID Card (QID)
A Visa application form to be filled in from the typing Centre.
NOC letter from your company (it is valid only for 3 months from the date of the letter)
Employment Contract (If you’re working for a government or semi-government entity, you’ll need to present an official letter from your employer stating your profession and salary)
Education Certificate attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of your country and Qatar embassy in your country.
House Contract/Lease Agreement attested by municipality (municipality shall require another set of documents like copy of title, copy of owner QID, layout etc. for stamping)
Electricity and Water Receipt in your name
For Spouse: Marriage Certificate attested by MOFA of your country and Qatar embassy in your country.
If it’s not in English then translation must be attested by MOFA and Qatar embassy in your country
For Children: Child(s) Birth Certificate(s) attested by MOFA and Qatar embassy in your country. If it’s not in English then translation must be attested by MOFA and Qatar embassy in your country.
Six Month Bank Statement with minimum salary of Qr.10,000 per month (or QR7,000 if family housing is provided by your employer)
Passport copy of the dependent (Wife, Children)

Dear Mr. Sudhanshu, We got to know that for family visit visas also you have to attest the certificates. What you can do is if you have time to take visa, then try applying for visit visa without attestation provided your name is there in Spouse name of your wife passport and your name in your child passport. If it doesn’t work, then attest the certificates and apply.
Attestations will help in their future visits as well. It is a tedious process to do it on your own. Instead, you can approach an agency in Doha and they can do it almost at the same cost as you spend if you do on your own. Agencies get it done properly and also get it at the earliest.
